Michel BORZYKOWSKI is born in Geneva (Switzerland) from Jewish Polish parents,
survivors of the Shoah. Physician since a long time and music lover since always,
he discovered an old saxophone in a cellar and the pleasure to play on it a few years ago! He joined some Jazz bands in Geneva
('Pumpkin quartet', Alain Guyonnet's 'Love and Soda', etc.). Since 1996, he takes
up his cultural origins and works mainly on klezmer music with the bands 'Hotegezugt' and 'Rojinkes mit
Mandeln'. Ex-leader of the workshop 'AMJ Klezmer Band', he is currently the vice-president
of the Association AMJ (Friends
of Jewish Music) http://www.amj.ch in Geneva.

Pier-Yves TETU studied accordion with Denis Croisonier
and Andre Thepaz, then at the Conservatory of Chambery (France). Graduate as a tenor at
the Conservatories of Grenoble and Nevers (Paul Guigue), he participates in man concerts
in France and in Europe with Michel Chapel, the accordions quartet 'Harmonia'
and the singers of 'Evasion'. He also played with the French klezmer band 'Klej'Zema'.

Bianca
FAVEZ was born in Roumania in 1972. She began to play the violin at five, then
studied at the Conservatory of Paris where she got many awards and a virtuosity. Since
1993, she works with Philippe Beran, the Orchestra of the Suisse Romande, the Chamber
Orchestra of Genève and the Ensemble Contrechamps, she palys as a soloist in many
festivals (Verbier, Lucerne, Bruxelles, Geneva and Lyon) and teaches the violin at the
Academia d'Archi in Geneva. Who could have thought that sach a career would make hert play
with a klezmer band?

Dragos TARA is born 1976 in Bucarest and
he lives in Switzerland since he's five years old. He learned electric bass and
double-bass with Mathias Demoulins and Michel Veillon at the Conservatories of Montreux
and Lausanne. Since October 2002,he studies composition with Michael Jarrell and
Rainer Boesch. After jazz-rock, jazz and classical music, he travels among various musical
worlds like cabaret (Kurt Weil), trip-hop (Hirsute), music from the Balkans
(Stoyan Orchestra), Gypsy music, music from West-Africa (Farafina) and
klezmer.

After learning classical piano at
the Music Conservatory in Lausanne and at the Jaques Dalcroze School in Geneva, Christine
NIGGELER choosed diversity: dance music, church organ, accompanist of singers,
composer, musical animator for children, handicaped or elders in institutions, teacher,
choir directror (Acratopege), etc. Through traditional music of Eastern Europe
and Mediterranea (with the folk band Tamatakia), she quickly joined the klezmer
movement, in which she took a complete membership. |

David MORHAIN found his first
rhythmic inspiration on his younger brother's head and on the darbouka he got from
his grand-father. Nourished with rock,he emerged into jazz with the Big Band of
the APEJS in Chambery, then refined hese ears and sharpened hese drumsticks in
various jazz clubs. Presently drummer in the Jazz Big Band of Savoie and in the Big
Jazz Art, he also deals severly with the band Naima and gets back to hese
origins with Hotegezugt! |

Born in
1980, Adrien GAUBERT studies violin, saxophone and electric bass, which
drives his naturally to double-bass. He got a first mention at the Conservatory of
Toulouse and graduated at the Conservatory of Geneva. Presently, he gives concerts
of chamber music, plays as soloist and in various orchestras in Switzerland, i.e.
Orchestra of Suisse Romande, Chamber Orchestra of Geneva and the Sinfonietta of Lausanne.

Anne-Claire MONNIER is born in the past century in a
small village in primitive Switzerland. She studied theater with Serge Martin and learned
everything she could in many occasions. She's member of Eva Castellino's dance company
"100% Acrylic" and continues with passion her career, featuring
as dancer, vocalist, comedian and artistic director in Europe, Canada and Australia.
Although leyiddish is not her mameloshn, she knows how to make its intonation
alive with her extraordinary presence on stage... |
